Sci-Fi Film Festival 1,5-hour programme
December 12th at 12:30 the SUSU Leaders 2018 Photo Gallery will be opened at the Scientific Library of South Ural State University in honour of the SUSU Anniversary. The exhibits of the photo gallery include portraits of the members of the Rectorate, institute directors, faculty deans, heads of offices and divisions, department heads, and professors who have achieved recognition and authority among their peers.
On December 10 at 11.00, the Arts Hall in the main building of SUSU is going to open a new exhibition “Preserving Art”, organised by the Department of Theology, Art and Culture, Cultural Theory and History Research and Education Centre, and the SUSU Art Museum.

René Magritte. The Treachery of Images Art exhibition
On the occasion of the Volunteer Day which is to be celebrated in Russia on December 5, students of South Ural State University will receive a gift – opening of the House of Volunteer 2020 Resource Centre.
The project supposes establishment of a youth volunteer resource centre which provides informational, instructional and counseling assistance to the activities of volunteers during preparations for scaleous international events.
Within the project, a lecture room placing 100 people and a room with workplaces equipped with necessary equipment are to be created.
The International Youth Cooking Festival has already become a good tradition at South Ural State University. For the twelfth time in a row SUSU will welcome those for whom cooking is something more than just making dishes. It is art that requires patience, meticulous work and creativity. A cooking festival is but another step closer to the goal for those who decided to build a career in cooking.
It is planned that the festival programme will comprise five sections:

I’m a Billionaire 1,5-hour film
The Science Film Days will be held at SUSU November 26th through November 30th as part of the Contemporary Science Film Festival (CSFF) supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The goal of this event is to popularise research activity among students.
“SUSU in Persons” is an annual competition of South Ural State University.
The contest has been held since 2006. It’s aimed to stimulate creative work, promote groundbreaking ideas, best practices, and recognise achievements in the scientific, creative and social work of the University.
The Department of Russian as a Foreign Language jointly with the Centre for Sociocultural Adaptation and with support from the Association of International Students presents a new project called Watching Movies Together!
Every two weeks a movie will be announced, which then will be discussed at a movies club and in a dedicated chat. As a result of watching and discussing it is planned to give tasks on writing essays, drawing pictures, and on other forms of comprehending and interpreting of information.
At South Ural State University a masterclass was held by the Chief Editor of Moskovsky Komsomolets – Ural newspaper Aleksandr Skripov, who shared his experience of working in mass media with the students of the Faculty of Journalism of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities.

November 5th through 11th South Ural State University became a venue for a big-scale dance project — contemporary choreography Meteorite Dance Festival.
On October 1- November 9, 2018, SUSU held the basic level of Young Leader School. The participants of the project master super-professional skills and discover new opportunities for their development.
Young Leader School (YLS) is one of the large-scale projects of South Ural State University. This year it is being implemented within the frames of the grant support of All-Russian Contest of the Youth’s projects.

South Ural State University held a meeting devoted to two significant events, namely 100th anniversary of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (AULYCL) and 50th anniversary of assigning Chelyabinsk Polytechnic Institute (nowadays SUSU) the name of Leninist Young Communist League.
The annual information days for international students from Arab countries, French-speaking countries, and China have been held at South Ural State University. The goal of these events is to inform international students about migration rules, fire safety, and the rules of living in dormitories and life at SUSU.

For the 10th time, South Ural State University is holding Vmeste (Together) International Festival of Creativity, in which hundreds of talented people of various ages participate.
The festival is centred around patriotic education for teenagers and the transfer of knowledge from older mentors. Each year, three to five thousand people take part in the festival.

South Ural State University for the 10th, anniversary, time is going to organize Vmeste (Together) International Festival of Creativity, in which hundreds of talented people of various ages are taking part. The first selection stage is to be held at SUSU on October 27th through 28th of 2018.
The Institute of Architecture and Construction held a contest called “Autumn Mood” among freshman students. Future designers and architects had to present their group in a creative format within a limited time.
On October 17th at the Activity Hall of South Ural State University a gala show and awarding ceremony were held under SUSU Talents 2018 Festival for freshmen.
More than 300 students took part in the festival, and about 100 applications were submitted from all schools and institutes of the university. On the day of the competition the jury watched more than 60 performances of various genres.
