September 24th through 29th, the Chessboxing World Championship will be held in Serbia. Alumnus of South Ural State University Amina Akhmadulina will be representing the Chelyabinsk Region in this tournament.

A cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports for the Chelyabinsk Region and the Student Ice Hockey League was signed as part of the Youth Ice Hockey Cup. Famous Russian Lawyer Is Awarded the Title of Professor Emeritus by SUSU

Doctor of Sciences (Jurisprudence) and famous Russian lawyer, statesman and public figure, TV presenter and writer Pavel Astakhov has arrived on a working visit to South Ural State University.

Over the period from 2009 through 2016, Pavel Astakhov was holding the position of the Children's Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation. He is also well known as a long-time host of the Chas Suda (Hour of Judgment) TV show.

Programming and Maintenance of Industrial Robots: New Academic Programme Launched at SUSU

Supplementary professional advanced-training programme has been developed at the Industrial Robotics Development Centre of South Ural State University. During a one-week course, students will gain skills of safe commissioning, programming, and diagnostics of industrial robots, including offline programming, basic maintenance, and their integration with peripherals. Classes for the first 40 students will begin already on September 29th.

Scientific Production Association “Bazalt” is a defence-industry enterprise of the Russian Federation, which manufactures and supplies arms and munition for ground troops, air forces and naval forces. It is part of the Concern “Techmash” within the Rostec State Corporation.

South Ural State University has hosted the official opening of the new season of the SUSU Accelerator, a big-scale program to support student entrepreneurship and innovative ideas. The SUSU Medical Centre had been founded in 1999. On September 15, 2000 it obtained its license, and its specialists started their mission on taking care about the health of people. By the way, this is the first university-based medical centre in the Chelyabinsk Region.

The "Heart of the Urals" Advanced Engineering School at South Ural State University has completed the development of a unique test bench for testing of fuel and additives.

The installation is designed to conduct tests using a globally recognized evaluation method, which is based on the use of the Mercedes M102 automobile engine.
