The Department of Law Enforcement and National Security of the SUSU Institute of Law represented by its head, Doctor of Sciences (Law) Sergey Zuev has initiated the preparation and publishing of the “Basics of the Digital Evidence Theory” book.

SUSU Students Meet Representatives of the Main Investigation Department of the HO MIA of Russia

5th-year students of the SUSU Institute of Law took part in a meeting with representatives of the Main Investigation Department of the HO MIA of Russia for the Chelyabinsk region, held within cooperation with employers regarding recruitment of graduates studying in the specialty of Law Enforcement Activities.

More than 2,700 State Scholarships: SUSU Trains Leaders in All Fields

Choosing a university is one of the most serious decisions in everyone’s life. For many applicants, the deciding factor in enrolling in a university is the affordability of education. South Ural State University offers around 3,000 state scholarships annually.

This year, according to Order No.346 of the Ministry of Education as of 28.04.2018, a big number of state scholarships will be offered for technical, natural science, and humanitarian fields of higher education.

Young’s Modulus Student Team of SUSU Represented the University at INST International Tournament for the First Time

The 9th International Natural Sciences Tournament (INST), a team competition between students from higher education institutions all around the world in solving preliminarily published scientific problems in the sphere of physics, chemistry and biology, took place in Tallinn. SUSU students took part in the tournament.

On-site tournament stage featured 15 teams representing such countries as Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa, Russia, etc.

Copying Electronic Information: Ideas by SUSU Lawyers Fixed into Law

On January 8, 2019 the Russian Federation Federal Law No. 533-ФЗ as of 27.12.2018, which introduced Article 164.1 into the Russian Federation Criminal Procedure Code formalizing the procedures for the seizure of electronic media and copying information from them in the course of investigations. The appearance of this article was preceded by many years of work by lawyers, including researchers from South Ural State University.

Project-Based Learning at the Institute of Law: Students to Offer a Model for Supporting the Professional Rights of Lawyers

Besides high levels of professionalism, lawyers working in the Russian system also need such traits as high resistance to stress and readiness to work in unusual situations. Within the project-based learning system, future lawyers at SUSU are working on a project which has no analogues in modern legal practice. In the course of the project, students will develop a model for supporting the professional rights of lawyers.

Academics of Institute of Law Took Part in Forum of Young Regulators and Experts

On December 14-15, 2018 Forum of Young Regulators and Experts “Strategy of Development: Challenge for the Young”, held by the State Duma in cooperation with Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) and Corporate University of Sberbank.

The leaders of the parties, chairmen of the relevant committees of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, representatives of ministries and departments, business circles, scientists and specialists, leaders and academics of the leading law schools met with the participants of the Forum. 

Students of the SUSU Institute of Law Took Part in the Best Legal Expert Business Game

On November 30, senior students of the SUSU Institute of Law, who are the consultants of the Legal Clinic: Anastasia Myslivaya, Arsen Arrestakesyan, Nikolai Zharkov (4th year student) and Aliya Bikmukhametova (3rd year student) took part in the Best Legal Expert Business Game organized by the Chelyabinsk regional branch of the Russian Association of Lawyers.

Institute of Law Held an International Conference

A large-scale international scientific and practical conference devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the 75th anniversary of South Ural State University took place at South Ural State University. Institute of Law of SUSU organized the conference.

SUSU Students Won an Intellectual Competition on Jurisprudence

On December 8, students of South Ural State University took part in the 5th Student Forum on Jurisprudence held at Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL).

Students of group Yu-330 of the SUSU Institute of Law, Valentin Shchegolev and Sergey Marukhnenko, became the winners of an intellectual competition held in the format of a game judicial process.

SUSU Will Celebrate Its Anniversary by Opening New Laboratories and Holding Festivals and Exhibitions

On December 15 of 2018, South Ural State University is to celebrate the 75th anniversary from its foundation day. Active preparation for the celebration, which is going to take place within five days, 10th through 14th of December, is being carried out at SUSU. Celebratory event programme will include opening of new laboratories and exhibitions, as well as presentations, concerts, flash mobs, contests and more.

A series of celebratory events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the university continues at South Ural State University. On the occasion of the university’s 75th anniversary, Directors of Schools and Institutes awarded letters of appreciation and honorary credentials to outstanding academics and administrative staff.

An International Science-to-Practice Conference on Jurisprudence is to be Held at SUSU

On December 7 at 10.00 in the University Council Hall (room 1007 of the main academic building), plenary session of the 20th International Science-to-Practice Conference is to be opened in the frameworks of activities dedicated to the 75th anniversary of South Ural State University. Organiser of the Conference is SUSU’s Institute of Law.

SUSU Takes part in the All-Russian Conference of Legal Clinics

On October 12th the Centre of Development of Legal Clinics jointly with the Faculty of Law of Lomonosov Moscow State University held the 9th All-Russian Conference of Legal Clinics on the Legal Aid that Anyone Could Afford, as well as an international forum on the Interactive Methods of Teaching Law Students.

Scientists-Lawyers of SUSU Completed an Interdisciplinary Research Project

A team of 45 scientists, formed at South Ural State University, completed an interdisciplinary research project. The result of two-years-long work is a 400-page-thick monograph entitled “Private Law Principles” published by the largest Russian publishing house called Prospekt.

SUSU Representatives Participated in the Meeting of the Federal Antimonopoly Service Office

On October 16, in the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the Chelyabinsk Region, a public meeting of the Office Community Board devoted to the urgent issues in the sphere of the competitive education took place.

School Students Got Acquainted With the Possibilities of Studying at SUSU

On October 10 and 11, secondary school students of the Sovetsky District of Chelyabinsk got acquainted with South Ural State University in the Palace of Culture named after D.V. Kolyushchenko.

In the hall of the Palace, SUSU schools and institutes presented their sites, where students of 9th -11th grades could learn about the professions and the prospects of studying in these fields.

Best Book in the Field of Humanities

A multi-author monograph on Development of Information Technologies in Criminal Proceedings has won an award under the category of Philosophy; Sociology; Political Science; Law; Science Studies at the Best Scientific Book in the Field of Humanities 2018 International Contest held at the Interregional Centre of Innovative Technologies in Education.

On September 14th a workshop for the experts on holding professional-and-public accreditation of educational programs in the field of law was organised at the Ural State Law University as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations.

SUSU Performs Elite Training of Law Students

South Ural State University has been training highly qualified specialists in the sphere of jurisprudence for 25 years already. Nowadays the Institute of Law has 8 departments. The institute has a strong material and technical base which allows performing the training of students at a high level: it includes Criminal Laboratory, Forensic Laboratory, Expert Technologies REC, and Legal Clinic.
