SUSU Rector to Make Golden Dreams of Students Come True on Tatiana Day

South Ural State University has traditionally given start for the students’ sending in their suggestions on what, in their opinion, needs to first of all be done at the university to improve life in it. The most topical and important favours will be granted, and golden dreams will come true with the help of the Rector on Tatiana Day.

Any SUSU student can tell the Rector about his/her dream on the university web-site in the Ask a Question section, as well as on the official I Love SUSU web-page in VKontakte social network. The main condition is that these favours are about the suggestions on improving the academic process, organisation of the university events, improving the accommodation conditions in the Campus, and expanding the extracurricular activities of students.

On January 25, 2018 Aleksandr Shestakov picked three wishes of students and granted them. The Campus was equipped with new ovens, a recreation area was made in the West Wing of the Main University Building, and a copy centre was organised in the Law Faculty academic building. In 2018 the Rector also made a decision to grant another, fourth wish. Thus, in the spring of 2018 at Olimp Sports and Recreation Camp a Students’ Friendship Alley was created, which became a symbol of unity, collaboration and friendship, as well as an important tradition for the university.

As a reminder, the suggestions will traditionally be accepted all through January 20, 2019, and after that all the letters will be read by the expert committee headed by the Rector. The student wishes, which receive most votes, will be granted by the Rector on January 25, 2019 – Tatiana Day.
