Within the All-Russian Festival of Science, South Ural State University is to organise Days of Student Science on April 2 and 3.
The purpose of the event is to support talented students, encourage their creative activity and form a motivation to carry out research, results of which could be transformed into a demanded product. The Festival is traditional for SUSU; for the seventh time it is going to give students a chance to present and defend their projects.

The Young Progessors Olympiad will be held at South Ural State University for the ninth time. This event is organised by the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the SUSU Institute of Engineering and Technology. The Olympiad is held on the occasion of one of the most significant dates in the Russian calendar - Cosmonautics Day.
Last weekend, tournaments in basketball and volleyball were held among international students of South Ural State University.
This was the first time that tournaments in volleyball and basketball were held for international students. Each competition featured 5 teams which competed for prize-winning places as well as for the title of the strongest team.
At the SUSU Centre of Testing and Language Training, foreign citizens can test their knowledge of Russian and obtain an international certificate.
This certificate is recognised by the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE), which has unified control in holding certified exams in foreign languages.
On the International Students’ Day, a match of all-time stars of the Student Hockey League is to be held at South Ural State University. A video conference entitled “Students meeting the outstanding Russian hockey player, coach Vladislav Tretiak” was held at SUSU.
On March 27, a meeting of Vice-Rector for Research, Aleksandr Diakonov, with sales director of CityAir LLC Andrey Samodin and director general of Ecopass LLC Evgeny Lepinin took place at South Ural State University. The ceremony of awarding the Polytechnic ice hockey team, which celebrates its 70th anniversary, took place at SUSU. The athletes became bronze medalists in two championships.

A celebration of Nowruz was held at South Ural State University. February 26 through March 2, delegation from South Ural State University made an official visit to Uzbekistan. Previously, by the results of the Russian-Uzbek Educational Forum entitled “New Employees for the New Economy” which was held in Tashkent on October 18 and 19 of 2018 and featured Presidents of both Russia and Uzbekistan, a final resolution has been published. This resolution states the necessity to establish branch institutions of Russian higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
