For more than 30 years now Professor Evgeny Solomin from the SUSU Department of Electric Power Generation Stations, Networks and Supply Systems has been working on “green energy”, improving solar batteries and engineering wind-driven power plants, which are installed even in the Arctic Region. Professor Solomin is confident that efficient use of natural renewable energy is no longer a matter of the future, it is a modern day reality. For instance, his own house is powered by solar batteries.

The formal welcome was among a broad range of events organised by SUSU, including the senior staff’s presentations on the University’s recent achievements in education, research, and quality of life on campus.
A lot of attention at South Ural State University is paid to working with international students. The International Office of SUSU promotes their integration into the new cultural environment. For that purpose, the International Office together with Association of International Students launched a new project.
The Department of Foreign Languages announces admissions to an elective course for 3rd and 4th-year students in order to prepare for passing IELTS International Certification Exam.
