On May 20th an educational meeting on the basics of social project planning will be held in Chelyabinsk. An opening ceremony for the Junior Academy of Linguistics and International Communication for Schoolchildren was held at South Ural State University, which successfully passed inspection by regulatory agencies in 192 fields of study and earned a Certificate of State Accreditation. Alina Pyazok is a graduate of SUSU, a director, and a creator of video clips for famous rap and rock performers, as well as a mastermind and producer of Little Big band.
Healthy lifestyle and development of physical culture and sports are the most important priorities at SUSU. The university has a shooting range available for all of those who wish to gain skills of shooting from small-caliber and sport weapons. It is one of the best in the Chelyabinsk Region, since the range allows for training on almost every kind of weapon. Founded in 1943, South Ural State University since its first days educated brilliant specialists whose projects found use on the front of the Great Patriotic War. And the university’s first professors were people who went through that war. Among them was Gennady Aleksandrovich Komissarov.
The history of South Ural State University remembers many brilliant scientists, whose contribution played a big role in its development. A special spot in this history is given to veterans of the Great Patriotic War who became the first lecturers of the university founded in 1943. Among them is Professor Aleksandr Vasilyevich Baev.
Every year there remain less and less veterans of the Great Patriotic War who performed their great heroic deed, but our university honours the memory of them. South Ural State University, established in 1943, evolved in many aspects namely thanks to the veterans. One of those people is Professor David Aronovich Gokhfeld, the founder of the SUSU’s Resistance of Materials Department.
Shortly before one of the main holidays in our country, the Great Victory Day, the annual Victory Waltz has been held, in which students and employees of South Ural State University took part. This dance flashmob dedicated to the 73rd Anniversary of the Great Victory was held for the fourth time already.
The guests and participants were greeted by the SUSU Rector Aleksandr Shestakov.
On April 27 – 28 of 2018 the Association of Russian Culture and Education of Alanya (Turkey) organized an International Science-to-practice Conference on Russian Emigration in Turkey in Early 20th Century: Gallipoli Stand. At the opening ceremony of the conference, also featuring a Russian Emigration in Turkey photo exhibition, speeches were delivered by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Turkey Aleksey Erkhov, and Rector of Alanya Hamdullah Emin Pasa University, Professor Mehmet Durdu Öner.

“How to stay healthy?” It is a topical issue for every person. Nowadays, leading specialists all around the world are searching for solutions which will allow maintaining and improving our health. This area of research is among the prioritized ones for South Ural State University.
The scientific battles for young researchers at SUSU will be held for the second time on May 10, 2018. The event is held with support from the Polytechnic Museum (Moscow) and the Public Chamber of the Chelyabinsk Oblast.
From 8th through 29th of May, lectures by Professor from Serbia, Zoran Cekić, are to be held at South Ural State University’s Department of Town Planning, Engineering Systems and Networks of the Institute of Architecture and Construction. General title of the lecture is Strategies of Construction Management.
May 7th is a special date, known in the world’s history of science and engineering as radio’s birth day. On this day in 1895, at the meeting of the Russian Physical and Chemical Society, Russian physicist Alexander Stepanovich Popov presented and demonstrated the world’s first radio-receiving set created by him, by holding the first radio communication session. Today this date is celebrated by all communications workers.
The 3rd All-Russian Student Accounting Olympiad in honour of Ya.V. Sokolov, in which students of the SUSU School of Economics and Management took part, was held at Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics.
Among the Olympiad’s participants were also Bachelor’s and Master’s students from Saint-Petersburg, Voronezh, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Petrozavodsk, and other cities of Russia.
The International Sun Day is celebrated each year at the beginning of May. The decision to establish this holiday was made in 1994 by the European branch of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) in order to attract attention of the society to the possibilities of using the renewable energy sources.
On may 7, the square in front of the main building of the South Ural state University will have more than a hundred pairs in the "Victory Waltz". Flashmob is held for the fourth time and every year it becomes more and more large. Now the participants are working hard to rehearse and help them in this professional choreographers. One of them, Tatiana Mueller, told about why rehearsals are so important and what this project means to her.
– You are the choreographer for "the Waltz of Victory" that gave you this experience?
For the 4th time the Victory Waltz, as a symbol of the triumph of peace on Earth, will be heard playing on the square in front of one of the major Russian universities, South Ural State University, on the occasion of the coming Great Victory Day.

A number of events dedicated to one of the most important holidays for our county, the Day of Victory over Fascist Germany, will be held in one of the major Russian universities, South Ural State University.
The 2nd Eurasian Science and Technology Conference entitled “Interlinking of the Great Eurasian partnership and the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative: strategies, programs, projects of agrifood partnership” was held from April 17th through 19th of 2018 in Saint Petersburg.
Within the Conference took place the Eurasian contest of agrifood strategies, programs and projects, organized by the Interindustry Union for Development of High-Tech Export and Import Substitution (MSVEI).
The finals of the contest of beauty, creativity, sports and intellect Student Mister and Miss of the Chelyabinsk Region 2018 was held at the Congress and Exhibition Hall on April 27th. The most charismatic and talented students of the South Ural universities fought for the titles of Student Miss and Mister.
During the whole month the students were thoroughly preparing to the final show: daily rehearsals, photo sessions, choosing costumes, making of individual and group numbers. The contestants competed in the Enqounter sports game and Quiz, Please! intellectual game.
On the basis of Decree No.54 dated May 4 of 2018, on May 5 of 2018 (Saturday) all classes are cancelled due to remedial works in the university’s water supply systems.
A lecture by the Director of education programs of Industry 4.0 from Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, Pavel Bilenko, was held for students of South Ural State University.
