President of European Journalism Training Association (EJTA – Belgium) Nico Drok has once again come to Chelyabinsk to participate in the Third Communication Leader of the 21st Century International Scientific and Educational Forum at SUSU.
Within the 3rd International Science and Education Forum entitled “Communication leader of the 21st century”, the 17th International Congress on Public Relations and Advertisement: Theory and Practice was held at SUSU. Organizer of the event was the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the ISSH’s Faculty of Journalism.
Additive Manufacturing, or Additive Fabrication (AF), is one of the most dynamically developing areas of digital manufacturing. A team of master’s degree students from the Department of Innovation Management in Business of SUSU School of Economics and Management created an algorithm for analyzing innovative methods of product manufacturing based on the use of additive manufacturing for industrial enterprises.

On March 29th the finals of the elimination round of the annual student league of CASE-IN International Engineering Championship will be held at SUSU’s Sigma Education Building at 10:00.
This year students of the Power Engineering Faculty and the Faculty of Material Science and Metallurgical Technologies will present their solutions on the issue of Development of the Arctic Region.
Today an opening ceremony for the Third Communication Leader of the 21st Century International Scientific and Educational Forum has been held in the Activity Hall of the SUSU’s Main University Building. This year’s slogan of the forum is “Uniting Europe and Asia”, and among the participants are European Journalism Training Association (Belgium), Northeast Petroleum University (China), and Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio (Russia).
APAIE-2018 Conference and Exhibition of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education started on March 25th and was attended by SUSU representatives.
The importance of continuous functioning of electrical equipment in such spheres as aerospace industry, atomic industry and medicine can’t be overestimated. In this regard, the issue of technology processes optimization in these spheres is especially relevant. Scientists of South Ural State University are working in this direction.
A free master class on Short Terms Instead of Urgency is being organized at the SUSU MBA Center and the SUSU School of Business on March 29th. It is dedicated to implementation of QRM principles (Quick Response Manufacturing).
The master class is being held as a unique simulation business game, during which a problem situation which occurred at production and in the office of a company in a highly competitive market will be played out. As a result, the participants will be able to see in a practical way the benefits of implementing QRM principles.

The Project Analysis Session entitled “Projects that ensure implementation of the university’s strategy and transformation” has finished at SUSU. The session was devoted to analysis and assessment of SUSU’s strategy implementation process, determined in September of 2017; to specification of approaches and target milestones of the university in comparison with the world’s tendencies and best experiences of leaders in education; and to correction of projects that ensure implementation of the corrected strategy.

This places emphasis on the international character of this scientific and educational event and facilitates broad international networking.
Founder and Director of Eurasian Federation of Oncology Somasundaram Subramanian visited South Ural State University.
Professor Somasundaram is also an oncology surgeon. The goal of his trip to Chelyabinsk was visiting the Chelyabinsk Oncology Center. South Ural State University also attracted the Professor’s attention, that is why the employees of the laboratory of nanotechnologies and laboratories of the Faculty of Physics presented him the university’s possibilities in the field of medicine.
Animation Day is an annual event held at the university. This year, organizers decided to hold the event in a format of fair-and-festival. Participants could see human-sized dolls, colorful photo zone and contest stations.

On March 20, courses for advanced training entitled “University Corporate Culture”, organized by SUSU’s Institute of Supplementary Education, started at South Ural State University.
A contest for supporting participation of employees, postgraduates, and student in scientific events has been announced at SUSU. The goal of the contest is to increase SUSU’s recognizability in the international research community by establishing partnerships with leading international universities in the QS subject ranking.
The contest is aimed to increase the number of collaborations between SUSU staff, increase the university employees’ publication activity along with the number of citations of their publications.
Ascension to Parnassus Poetry Contest has wrapped up at South Ural State University.
The contest gathered young student poets studying at SUSU. Each participant presented three of their works to the jury, which included members of the Union of Writers of Russia.
Creation of innovative materials is one of the most important areas of modern science. Active development of Industry 4.0 requires new properties from composite elements of electronics. Researches of scientists from South Ural State University are implemented within this area. SUSU’s Crystal Growth Laboratory performs modification of properties and structure of ferrites, which are oxides of iron with other metals’ oxides.
Poetry unites countries, nations and cultures and helps people understand each other. Within centuries, thoughts and feelings has been passing through people’s hearts in the form of poetry, reminding that we all are one big family and that we, all being so different, in reality are very alike each other.

Scientists from South Ural State University are working on improving motor trucks. Their modifications equipped with an intelligent system will be used for development of the Arctic Region and Siberia.
From March 22 till 24 of 2018, Viсtor Borisovich Khristenko, Chairman of SUSU’s Supervisory Board, Aleksandr Shestakov, the Rector of SUSU, Vice-Rectors, members of SUSU’s Project 5-100 Management Board, participants of strategy sessions on applied science and leaders of the key areas of the university’s development will hold a strategy session at SUSU.

The UN’s statement states that “Earth Day is a special time which is dedicated to bringing people to understand that the planet Earth is our home, feel our international “one-ness” and dependence on one another.”
