SUSU Works with Materials for Aerospace, Electric Power, and Military Industries

One key area of development in metallurgy today is the creation of new materials with especially high density, which can be used in the aerospace, aviation, military, and electric power industries. Researchers from South Ural State University are working with materials that are promising for all of these fields.

Internship in Slovakia Is Offered to Students, Postgraduates, Academics and Research Fellows

In 2005, the Slovak Republic Government approved the establishing of a National Scholarship Programme to support the mobility of students, postgraduates, academics and research fellows of universities. The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (NŠP) is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

SUSU offers its students and staff to apply for a grant jointly with Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Nitra, Slovakia).

The Polytechnic Team Got Awarded with Two Sets of Bronze Medals

The ceremony of awarding the Polytechnic ice hockey team, which celebrates its 70th anniversary, took place at SUSU. The athletes became bronze medalists in two championships.

The team has been through a lot over the 70 years, but it has always been the leader in hockey of our region and even the country. This year, SUSU’s hockey team traditionally participated in the Championship of the Chelyabinsk region and took the honorable third place.

The festival of student creativity at South Ural State University, Spring at SUSU 2019, has ended.

Every year, hundreds of students demonstrate their creativity in various fields. This year, the students showed their talents at two venues: in the SUSU Activity Hall and at the Mannequin Theatre Studio.

“Russia Unites Us!”: SUSU International Students Celebrate Nowruz

A celebration of Nowruz was held at South Ural State University. SUSU international students from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan performed their folk songs and dances and introduced the audience to the traditions of greeting spring and the New Year by the solar calendar.

March 18th through 24th the 4th International Scientific and Educational Forum entitled “Communication Leader of the 21st Century” was held at SUSU with the support from the European Journalism Training Association (EJTA).

SUSU Strengthens Cooperation with Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan

February 26 through March 2, delegation from South Ural State University made an official visit to Uzbekistan. Previously, by the results of the Russian-Uzbek Educational Forum entitled “New Employees for the New Economy” which was held in Tashkent on October 18 and 19 of 2018 and featured Presidents of both Russia and Uzbekistan, a final resolution has been published. This resolution states the necessity to establish branch institutions of Russian higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The topic of their reports was “International fact-checking technologies”.

SUSU Opens School on Training the International Events’ Volunteers

South Ural State University has opened a school on training volunteers for the international events of 2020. The school will be held March 18th through April 5th of 2019.

The school was organised by the Volunteer Centre of South Ural State University, with support from the Team 2020 regional project, the SUSU Extracurricular Activities Department, the SUSU Volunteer Activity Office, the United Primary Trade Union Organisation and the United Student Council of South Ural State University.
