On Thursday, September 26th, Symphony Orchestra of Magnitogorsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is to perform at the Activity Hall of South Ural State University, which is going to become some kind of an overture of the new philharmonic season.
At SUSU, the Orchestra will present a programme featuring the following soloists of the Magnitogorsk Opera and Ballet Theatre:
- Nikita Fedotov (baritone) is a laureate and award winner of international competitions, holder of a Grand Prix at Romansiada – 2014 International Contest of Russian Romance Performers (Moscow).
- Olga Bogoyavlenskikh (soprano) is a laureate and award winner of international competitions.
The majority of musicians of the Orchestra are laureates of prestigious international contests. The Orchestra is headed by the main conductor of the Theatre, Eduard Nam. Since 2014, the Orchestra has been joined by conductor Sergey Vorobyov.
In partnership with the Orchestra are leading musicians of the country and the world: Luz Leskowitz (Austria), Giuseppe Nova (Italy), Vasily Shcherbakov and Andrey Korobeynikov (Moscow).
The Orchestra is actively performing and guesting. It is a participant of the annual International Festival of Opera Art “Viva Opera”, “Operetta, Bravo!” All-Russian Festival, as well as of the Classic Music Festivals named after Elena Obraztsova and the Festival “Denis Matsuev Presents…”
Moreover, the Symphony Orchestra takes part in the most important events and musical-and-educational activity of the Chelyabinsk region. Vivid concert programmes of the Orchestra are very popular and loved by many thousands of listeners.
