The most important event for every graduate – the Degree Awarding Ceremony – took place at South Ural State University. About four thousand SUSU students received their document of higher education in one of Russia’s leading universities.
South Ural State University has greeted its 1000th enrolee Vladislav Ahmedyanov, who chose to enrol in three academic programmes.
As per tradition, the milestone enrolee was met by the secretary of the Admissions Committee Aleksandr Gubarev. He congratulated the young man and awarded him commemorative gifts with the university logo.
One of the key research-and-education projects of the Institute of Architecture and Construction is the project entitled “Masonry Scaffolds”. Project team is working on development of innovative scaffolds for cast-in-place frame buildings. Nowadays constructors use structures weighing no less than a ton (at that, they are difficult to get transported) or scaffolds made out of materials at hand, which are hazardous for both constructors and people around them.

June 18th through 23rd of 2019, Common State Spartakiad took place in the city of Brest (Belarus). This is a traditional competition between schoolchildren and student teams of Belarus and Russia. Scientists at South Ural State University invented a technique to forecast performance of racing skiers. The technique is to allow monitoring the physical condition of an athlete at the preparatory stage and rationally adjust the training process. The method brought together parameters of biochemical blood analysis of athletes as well as their performance in competitions over the previous season.
South Ural State University has signed a collaboration agreement with a new partner-university – Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of Syria. SUSU and the Damascus university plan to actively interact in the fulfilment of scientific and educational cooperation.

July 1st through July 13th a regional education meeting of volunteers will be held at the SUSU Volunteer Centre as part of the first educational session SVOBODA (FREEDOM) at Olimp Sports and Recreation Camp.
During two weeks students will be offered master classes and trainings from the federal experts and invited guests, daily classes on self-development and personal growth of the participants, practicing English with a native speaker, lectures on the history of creating the volunteer movement in the Ural region, and training for the 2020 international events.
Molecular Electronics International Laboratory was created at SUSU within Project 5-100. The goal of the laboratory is the studying and creation of components and devices based on mesophase materials with high spatial symmetry.

On October 15th-16th of 2020, an International Science-to-practice Conference on Building of a Eurasian Bridge in Journalism Education will be held at South Ural State University. The Research Laboratory for Migration Studies, created at South Ural State University within the fulfilment of Program 5-100, aims at developing the scientific-and-research cluster for studying migrations by using innovative cross-disciplinary methods. The laboratory is headed by Professor of Carleton University, Canada, Jeff Sahadeo. On behalf of SUSU, it is supervised by Doctor of Sciences (History), Professor Olga Nikonova, who shared on the work being carried out by this international laboratory.
