My Fair Lady: Miss SUSU 2017 was chosen

 

On April 7 the Miss SUSU 2017 contest final was conducted at the Congress and Exhibition Hall. This year competitors went before the jury and the audience in characters of great women who have set the world on fire.

More than 100 SUSU students expressed their wish to take part in the elimination round of the competition. Only 16 candidates for the grand prize participated in the final round.

The Faculty of Aerospace Engineering: a Course on Things to Come

 

60 years ago, on March 1st, 1957, in the year of the launch of the Earth’s first artificial satellite, the Faculty of Mechanics of ChPI (today the SUSU Faculty of Aerospace Engineering) was created. The faculty’s dean, candidate of technical sciences, Vasiliy Salich told us about how it developed. 

– Vasiliy Leonidovich, what successes has the faculty brought to this great anniversary?

– The faculty’s main achievement is its alumni who work in space rocket, aviation, and different sectors, increasing the country’s glory.

This is a special date – a triumph of science, technology, and the human mind going beyond the bounds of the possible. Cosmonautics Day is a special holiday for a student studying at the Aerospace Faculty, especially this year. April 12, 2017 the famous AS-faculty of SUSU celebrates its 60th anniversary. That is why the activists of the faculty of SUSU decided to organize a large-scale event dedicated to two significant dates.

April 12 at 12:00 on the site in front of the main building of SUSU students of the Aerospace Faculty will arrange a spectacular flash mob.

"Let's go!": SUSU will celebrate Cosmonautics Day


On April 12, 1961, an event occurred that became the starting point of the era of space exploration: cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin entered the near-Earth orbit on the Vostok spacecraft and flew around the planet. These were 108 minutes of flight, which the world watched with a sinking heart. After such a breakthrough, space has become not so far away, humanity is taking bold steps to investigate it.

Arabian Fairytale At The University: SUSU Celebrated Arab Culture Day

Projects Of SUSU Center Of Computer Engineering Have Been Highly Estimated In Moscow

 

On March 29 the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation summarized the results for implementing projects aimed at creating and developing engineering centers in universities in 2016. Successful experience in collaborating of the SUSU Center of Computer Engineering (CCE) with industrial enterprises was presented to the Ministry experts by Andrey Keller, Vice-Rector of Strategic Development and supervisor of the Project.

SUSU Researchers Win V. Potanin Grant

 

A team of South Ural State University researchers won the 2016/2017 Grant Contest for Master’s Professors from the V. Potanin Foundation for the development of the linguistic evaluation master’s program.

The grant manager is Olga Aleksandrovna Turbina, director of the Center of Linguistics, professor, doctor of philological sciences, professor of the department of linguistics and translation.

Architect from Great Britain Recognizes SUSU’s Best Students

 

The English professor held his second master class for SUSU students entitled “Design of a minimalistic home,” after which he recognized its participants. 

"Thomas Kern personally handed a certificate to each participant,” says Tatyana Efimova, general director of the study abroad center, Study Land, “The professor chose three winners, giving each a present. Second, third, and fourth-year students participated.”

The universe, now and always, has fascinated humankind with its mystique and unexplored territories. We look at the starry sky and see many stars thousands or millions of lightyears away from us. The universe lives by its own, not fully understood laws.

At South Ural State University, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, assistant professor of the department of physical electronics of the Institute of Humanitarian and Hard Sciences, Igor Klebanov, is studies of the mathematical models of the universe’s large-scale structures.

The SUSU Center of Computer Engineering Joins an Import Phaseout Program

 

The SUSU Center of Computer Engineering is dedicated to working on import phaseouts as a result of engineering developments for Russian companies. One of the main goals of the center is to develop on-board drive trains, driving axles, hydromechanical transmissions for Russian mechanical loaders, graders, cars, and track machines.

His Majesty the Campus: The Anniversary of SUSU’s Largest Dormitory

 

Dormitory number 7 on the SUSU campus is the youngest, but its traditions of living amicably and cheerfully are well-known in the student circle.
