South Ural State University continues an active work on establishment and development of the partner network of Pushkin Institute Centres in China. The coordinator of the project in the territory of the PRC, learning support specialist of the SUSU Pushkin Institute Centre Tatyana Beloglazova told on the events, which are held at the partner-universities of SUSU.

South Ural State University invites international students from China to take part in a new project – a photo competition “Russia and China: Country – Language – Culture”. This event is organised by the SUSU Puskin Institute Research, Education and Coordination Centre.
On October 15, an International Online Olympiad on the Russian Language as a Foreign Language began. Pushkin Institute Research, Education and Coordination Centre organized the Olympiad for the Foreign Students studying abroad as well as at the universities of Russia.
South Ural State University invites teachers of Russian as a foreign language, who are working in Chinese educational institutions, to a free vocational enhancement course entitled «Development of author’s electronic course on Russian as a foreign language”.
A Forum of International Students and Alumni of Russian Universities – 2018, participated by SUSU representatives, took place in the city of Vladimir.
The event was held in the frameworks of the Federal grant by Rosmolodezh (Russian Youth) under support of the Global Alumni Alliance.
The Forum is intended to become one of the venues for meetings of international students with alumni in order to discuss issues of their further interaction with Russia in the sphere of public and professional activity.
On August 31, on the occasion of the Knowledge Day, Matriculation Ceremony-2018 was held at the SUSU University square.
Official part of the event was opened by performance teams of the SUSU Art Center, after which the university Rector Aleksandr Shestakov delivered a welcoming speech for freshman students and their parents.
The Pushkin Institute Research, Education and Coordination Center together with the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of SUSU’s Institute of Linguistics and International Communications invites to get supplementary competencies in the sphere of teaching Russian as a foreign language based on two specially elaborated programs.
South Ural State University pays a lot of attention to education of foreign citizens. One of the reasons for international students to choose SUSU is the fact that here they are provided with all conditions for learning Russian language, including the use of available distance technology. University staff elaborated online courses for mastering Russian phonetics by native Arabic and Chinese speakers; the courses are intended not only to show the correct way of sound pronunciation of Russian speech, but also teach how to do it.
In the German city of Freiberg, a Russian-German summer school featuring SUSU and Deutsches Studentenwerk (German Students’ Mutual Assistance Association) has finished. 19 Russian students within 3 weeks had been learning German language and getting acquainted with European culture.
During this period, school attendees visited the richest Reiche Zeche mine, where 8000 tons of silver had been extracted; the Terra Mineralia Mineralogical Museum, which exhibits the most beautiful gemstones from around the world; the Saxon Switzerland National Park; and the Freiberg Brewery.
Work or study? This exact question pops up in the minds of yesterday’s students after obtaining their Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees. A Bachelor’s degree, without a doubt, will help them make their first steps in their careers; however, a Master’s degree gives graduates better opportunities in the modern labor market. Master’s programs of the SUSU Institute of Linguistics and International Communications train professionals in language studies, Russian as a foreign language, linguistics, and geoinformation systems.
At South Ural State University, much attention is paid to broadening the horizons of international partnership and the promotion of the Russian language and culture among foreign citizens. One of the most important divisions at the university which works on this task is the Pushkin Institute center.
One of the most important fields of development at South Ural State University is broadening international partnership, for which SUSU is actively working on creating and strengthening contacts with international academic organisations. A large number of SUSU’s partner universities are located in China. This year, the quality of the interaction with them can rise to a new level thanks to the university creating its own partner network of Pushkin Institute centers.
Around 2,000 international students from 28 countries around the world study at South Ural State University. Each of them is trying to gain quality knowledge in various fields of study, however, the main goal is to master Russian at a high level. At SUSU, this field is given special attention.
An opening ceremony for the Junior Academy of Linguistics and International Communication for Schoolchildren was held at South Ural State University, which successfully passed inspection by regulatory agencies in 192 fields of study and earned a Certificate of State Accreditation. The SUSU Institute of Linguistics and International Communication acted as the organizer.
