On April 9th through 12th, the 14th International Student Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics took place at Belarusian State University of Transport in the city of Gomel.

“Today me and the students cooked gluten-free bread and muffins, non-yeasted buns and cheese buns which combine flour-free, non-yeasted and gluten-free production,” said Leonid Pervukhin, process engineer of IREKS – a company that became famous due to production of high-quality baking ingredients.
Days of History will be held at the SUSU Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities April 25th through 27th of 2018. Students and guests of the Faculty of History and all those interested in history can feel themselves part of the world of the past during these three event-packed days.
South Ural State University has been training highly qualified specialists in the sphere of jurisprudence for 25 years already. Nowadays the Institute of Lawhas 8 departments. The institute has a strong material and technical base which allows performing the training of students at a high level: it includes Criminal Laboratory, Forensic Laboratory, Expert Technologies REC, and Legal Clinic.

This was the day when Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespeare, and Inca Garsilaso de la Vega passed away in 1616. The 14th International Student Olympiad on Theoretical Mechanics was held at Belarusian State University of Transport in Gomel on April 9th-12th. 140 students participated in the Olympiad – the best representatives of 32 universities from Belarus, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, China, and Turkmenistan.
South Ural State University offers programs for student exchange. Under one of such programs the university was visited by students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The students share on why they decided to participate in this program, what lectures they attended, and whether or not this trip was helpful to them.
From 10th through 12th of April, a Congress of the Council of Young Researchers and Specialists of the Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts was held in Krasnoyarsk.
Researchers and specialists from more than 15 regions of Russia took part in the Congress. South Ural State University’s Council of Young Scientists was represented by Alisa Maltseva, Associate Professor of the Department of Developmental Psychology and Age Related Counseling.
Victory Waltz dance flashmob dedicated to one of the main holidays in our country, Victory Day, has become a traditional event for South Ural State University. Usually students from two faculties: the Faculty of Military Education and the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities were the event participants. This year students from all institutes and schools will be dancing on the square in front of the main university building to show their gratitude to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and to honour their memory.

The 3rd (final) round of the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Law was held at the Ural State Law University on April 13, 2018 under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

A special event dedicated to the Day of the Victory of ancient Russian soldiers of the Prince Aleksandr Nevsky over German knights on Lake Chudskoe (Battle on the Ice of 1242) was held at the Faculty of Military Education. In honor of this victory the Russian Day of Military Honor is celebrated on April 18th.

Every April 18th the world celebrates the International Day for Monuments and Sites. The slogan of this day has become “Let’s Protect Our Historical Motherland”.
The annual Blood Donor Day event takes place at South Ural State University. This year, it is held on the occasion of the National Donor Day celebrated on April 20.

The anniversary 25th Lomonosov conference for students, postgraduates and young scientists was held at Lomonosov Moscow State University, where Master’s students of the Faculty of Journalism of the SUSU Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities took part.
