SUSU Students among the Winners of the All-Russian Student Olympiad

The 3rd (final) round of the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Law was held at the Ural State Law University on April 13, 2018 under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

South Ural State University was represented by the winners of the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Law in the Ural Federal District, students of the Institute of Law. These students successfully completed the tasks of this Olympiad. At the end of this competition the prizes were awarded as follows:

  1. Anastasiya Tereshchenko – 1st place under the Criminal Law category. Scientific advisor: Nadezhda Shchipanova, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal and Penal Law, and Olga Nacharkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal and Penal Law;
  2. Gleb Semenov – 1st place under the Labour Law category. Scientific advisor: Mikhail Sagandykov, Associate Professor of the Department of Labour and Social Law, and Legal Studies;
  3. Nina Kolotovkina – 3rd place under the International Public Law category. Scientific advisor: Aleksey Minbaleev, Professor of the Department of the Theory of Government and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law;
  4. Maria Petrova – 3rd place under the Criminal Science category. Scientific advisor: Galina Rusman, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedures, Criminal Science and Forensic Enquiry;
  5. Evgeny Sergeev – 4th place under the Civil and Arbitration Process category. Scientific advisor: Andrey Alekseev, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Legal Procedures;
  6. Kirill Afonin – 4th place under the Civil Law category. Scientific advisor: Svetlana Polich, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Legal Procedures.

More than sixty students from four federal districts of the Russian Federation participated in the Olympiad. The contest’s events consisted of test assignments of an inter-sector character and oral presentations on current and difficult issues in legal science and practice under the suggested categories.
