On March 29 the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation summarized the results for implementing projects aimed at creating and developing engineering centers in universities in 2016. Successful experience in collaborating of the SUSU Center of Computer Engineering (CCE) with industrial enterprises was presented to the Ministry experts by Andrey Keller, Vice-Rector of Strategic Development and supervisor of the Project.
A team of South Ural State University researchers won the 2016/2017 Grant Contest for Master’s Professors from the V. Potanin Foundation for the development of the linguistic evaluation master’s program.

The SUSU Center of Computer Engineering is dedicated to working on import phaseouts as a result of engineering developments for Russian companies. Dormitory number 7 on the SUSU campus is the youngest, but its traditions of living amicably and cheerfully are well-known in the student circle. More than 10 000 priceless artifacts are displayed in the People and Technologies of the Ural Museum. Among them the antiquities of Huns and Sarmatian jewelry. Historical antiquities were found by South Ural scientists as a result of archeological studies within Chelyabinsk Region.
The museum is a part of the SUSU Scientific and Educational Center of the Eurasian Researches. Every summer the staff organizes not less than 3 or 4 archaeological expeditions. All their finds come to the museum, and the most interesting of them are become part of the permanent exhibition.
