SUSU Institute of Law Opens Summer Law School

 

The Institute of Law of South Ural State University initiated the Global Summer School on Law & Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, which will be held online June 26th through July 18th.

"One of the strategic research fields of our university is the digital industry, and artificial intelligence technologies are its important component. Therefore, we strive to contribute to the development of this field and share our knowledge with students from other universities and countries," said Director of the Institute of Law Elena Titova.

The Summer School was co-organized by the KnowledgeSteez international educational portal; University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain; University of Gdansk, Poland; Sultan Idris Education University, Malaysia; University of Brasilia, Brazil; Lomonosov Moscow State University; State Academic University of the Humanities; and Ural State Law University.

"We are actively developing international cooperation in research and education. The Summer School will allow presenting the results of our research in the field of legal regulation of artificial intelligence to the international scientific community. In addition, this will help attract international students, because we offer an English-language Master's degree programme in Law and Digital Technologies," said Deputy Director for International Relations of the Institute of Law Elizaveta Gromova.

The Institute of Law will be represented by Elizaveta Gromova, Candidate of Sciences (Law), Associate Professor, Deputy Director for International Relations; Alena Spiridonova, Candidate of Sciences (Law), Associate Professor at the Department of Business, Competition and Environmental Law; and Ekaterina Kovalenko, senior lecturer at the Department of Business, Competition and Environmental Law. Their lectures will be devoted to topical issues of legal regulation of artificial intelligence in the international and comparative legal aspects.
