South Ural State University is the most famous university in South Ural and no wonder international students choose it to get their education. For many years South Ural State University broadens its international connections. Every year Russian universities start admission of international students who are willing to get education in Russia within the quota allocated by the Government. To get the information about the quota a person should visit the site of Rossotrudnichestvo or request the information from the Russian Embassy in the country of an applicant. For the application there is a list of requirements: ID documents, portfolio (depending on the initial level of education), and letter of recommendation from a Russian university. After the documents are sent, an applicant needs to wait for the answer. This year applications are accepted until May 31 or even later depending on the country.
Many students from China and Africa choose SUSU to study within the quota. And during last years students from Syria come here more often than before.
This year SUSU welcomes international students from new countries such as Canada, Haiti, Tunisia, and Ethiopia.
The peculiarities of the 2020 admission campaign have helped to attract international students who earlier studied in other cities of our country: Astrakhan, Belgorod, Makhachkala, Nalchik, Simferopol, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Voronezh, Novomoskovsk, Krasnodar, Samara and Kaliningrad.
If international students don’t feel ready to study in Russian, they may be enrolled to SUSU Foundation Program. This course will get them prepared for their undergraduate or postgraduate course.
To help students get used to the peculiarities of life in Russia there are International Student Tutoring Team, Center for Sociocultural Adaptation and Association of International Students. Tutors help meet the applicants, check them into the dormitories, submit documents to the admissions office, and to get to know the city. CSA and AIS create comfortable conditions for students at the University, and in dormitories, organize different events and holidays for students to help them feel at home.
Even after getting his degree every international graduate can remain a part of the university and join Global Alumni Alliance to exchange experience and keep up with the university current activity.
