Today, scientific pursuits are primarily based on the actual requirements of manufacturers. The main goal is to change manufacturing techniques to obtain a competitive final product. Researchers at South Ural State University are achieving this goal successfully. One of the examples is the development of methods of preparing products from carbon-graphite powders with high performance properties.
On October 5-7, 2017, in the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, one of the major European conferences, ICLHE “Integrating Content and Language in Higher Education” has been held. It was devoted to integrating training on special disciplines and foreign languages in the higher education system.

The Festival organization is supported by the German Embassy in Moscow. On October 17 and 18 the annual SUSU Blood Donor Day event, in which all students and teaching staff of our university can take part, is to be held. The event will take place from 9:00 till 13:00, as doctors determined that human organism easier recover from blood loss in the first half of a day.

For more than 25 years, research and development in powder metallurgy has been completed with success at the Department of Machines and Processes of Plastic Metal working of the SUSU Polytechnic Institute. Today, the Resource Center of Special Metallurgy serves as a space for completing research, headed by Marina Samodurova, associate professor, candidate of technical sciences.

On October 7, a meeting of students and academic staff with Russian literary scholar, literary critic, publicist, TV-host and writer Alexander Arkhangelsky took place at South Ural State University within the 7th Open Book Literature Festival. Together with Alexander Arkhangelsky, students searched for answers to questions about the future of journalism, paper books and technology.
The SUSU scientists took part in the 6th International Conference on Biotechnology and Bioengineering (ICABBE 2017 & 6th ICBB), which was held in the city of Offenburg, Germany, September 26th through 28th.
