Round table “Strategy of Developing of the Russian Movement of School Pupils on the Territory of the Ural Federal District” was held at SUSU’s Sigma Conference Hall on November 15th. The Ural Federal District has become a third ground where this event was organized.

A valveless pump designed by the SUSU scientists is known for its high reliability, as well as for a smaller degree of damage that it might inflict on transmitted materials due to the absence of moving elements in its flow part. Universal Journalism textbook, developed by a team of lecturers from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the SUSU ISSH’s Faculty of Journalism and edited by Doctor of Philology, the Dean Lyudmila Shestarkina, became the winner at the 4th all-Russian Innovative Public Contest in the category of “The best textbook (manual) for universities and postgraduate education”.
Starting from 2002, World Philosophy Day is celebrated every third Thursday of November, as proclaimed by UNESCO. By now, over 70 countries have joined the tradition of celebrating this day, and Russia is among them as well.

On November 8, the Forum of Rectors of Russian and Kazakhstan Universities was held at South Ural State University within the frameworks of the 14th Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum. Rectors of the leading universities gathered to discuss problems and prospects of modern education and sign agreements on cooperation. During the event, guests of the Forum were given the opportunity to get a closer look at South Ural State University by visiting various excursions, and assess scientific and engineering achievements of the university’s scientists.
On November 7th an art exhibition was held in the Arts Hall of South Ural State University to celebrate the 95thanniversary of the birth of architect Maria Mochalova.
The exhibition was organized by the Director of the SUSU Art Museum Galina Trifonova, who shared memories of the artist.
