SUSU researchers’ fundamental study on the history of the Soviet city planning and architecture earned the highest award at the Zodchestvo 2018 International Festival of Architecture.
The two-volume book on the 1917-1941 History of Soviet City Planning, published in Moscow under the aegis of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, earned the Golden Sign, the highest award of the prestigious international festival and exhibition Zodchestvo 2018.
On December 13th at 11:30 the Eurasia in the Ancient Times presentation of the studies by SUSU archaeologists and foreign scientists, on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of our university, will be held at Pushkin Hall (Room 244 of the Main University Building). The ILIC Department of Modern Languages held the Economy Games in English for the first time on November 26th. Two teams fought to be named the winners: the B2 level group of experimental training, and the groups of the elite training zone.
December 12th at 12:30 the SUSU Leaders 2018 Photo Gallery will be opened at the Scientific Library of South Ural State University in honour of the SUSU Anniversary. The exhibits of the photo gallery include portraits of the members of the Rectorate, institute directors, faculty deans, heads of offices and divisions, department heads, and professors who have achieved recognition and authority among their peers.

Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service of South Ural State University (National Research University) holds the III International Conference “Innovations in Sport, Tourism, and Education” – “icISTIS – 2018”. The conference will take place on December 6-7, 2018 and become a site uniting distinguished and young scientists from Russia, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Iraq, and many other countries.

Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor Vladimir Kozheurov is the founder of the school of Physical Chemistry of Metallurgical Systems and Processes. In the years of the war, with an acute shortage of qualified staff, V.A. Kozheurov provided theoretical training to future metallurgical engineers. At the same time, together with O.A. Esin he worked on proton transition during the electrolytic discharge of hydrogen ions.
