SUSU Team to Participate in Selection for Ostrov 10-22 Intensive Educational Course

This July a big-scale intensive educational course for the leaders in the changes in the field of higher education will be held at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech). It is going to be a tough competition to join the Ostrov 10-22 intensive educational course, as regional universities from across our whole country will be participating.

For the majority of the universities, including us, the participation in the intensive course will become a starting point to joining the fulfilment of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) and entering to its ecosystem: we are planning on joining various information and educational services, which will be of help for students and academics. For more details, please visit the project web-site.

Following the selection results, the intensive course will be held for 100 management teams, each consisting of 10-12 people: university leaderships, regional authorities, leaders of student communities, young scientists, representatives of high-technology businesses and investors.

Within 12 days the intensive course participants will be both mastering new management techniques in education, practicing in digital disciplines and cross-cutting technologies of NTI at master classes by the leading companies and experts, socialising with world-class visionaries as part of lectures, and participating in the Mind Clubs discussions.

More on the intensive course at: ostrov.2035.university

By April 1, 2019 we will form our team of the participation candidates. Every candidate will have to pass an individual testing on the 2035 University platform, March 1st till April 1st, and obtain individual results, which we will take into consideration when forming our team’s final line-up. Individual results of the members of the team will define its success in the inter-university competition for joining the intensive course.

If you feel like becoming one of our team members, you can pass the testing as an independent participant starting from March 1st, and in case your results are high, you can be included into our university’s team by the Rector’s decision. Important! When registering on the Leader-ID.ru platform, it is mandatory to indicate the full and short name of our university (in case you are neither a student, nor a staff member here, you should put it after your current job place and a comma).

If you are included on the team and if our university gets to be chosen from among the best teams as a participant of the Ostrov 10-22 intensive educational course, the participation in the intensive course will be free of charge for you (in case you are not our university staff member, you should save for the travel expenses to go to Moscow).

If you apply as an independent participant, not being included on the university team but showing high results, you may receive an offer from the organisers to participate in the intensive course under some other terms. For more details, please visit the intensive course web-site.

The selection testing and recommendations on further development are free of charge for all applicants.

Brief Information on the Previous Intensive Course:

The first Ostrov 10-21 intensive educational course was held on Russky Island for 1,000 technological entrepreneurs, students and talented school pupils in July of 2018. This event helped fine-tune the technologies of forming personal development pathways through using artificial intelligence, tracing digital footprint, and generating digital profiles of the trainees. The key conclusion made from the results of the conducted experiment was that the need for creating fundamentally new systems became obvious, that is the systems that could provide every person with a liberty to choose the nearest step of development with unlimited number of attempts and continuing processing of the choice errors. Based on these conclusions, a set of services was formed for the 2035 University platform, including such services as diagnostics service, digital profile service, service on recommending the nearest step and pathway of development, service on recommending how to form teams and contacts, service on forming of the educational space (“competences supplier exchange”).
