Young SUSU Scientists Can Receive a Grant from UNESCO

The Department of International Cooperation, supported by the National Commission of the People's Republic of China for UNESCO, has announced the call for applications for young scientists to receive a UNESCO grant on the topic of The Great Silk Road.

This initiative is aimed at involving young researchers into profound study of the global Silk Road heritage. Candidates for the grant are welcome to consider the following topical areas: regional and international cooperation on the Silk Road, intercultural dialogue, social unity, and much more. Research work may cover one or several topics related to the global Silk Road heritage, such as:

  • Science and Technology, Traditional Know-how;
  • Religion and Spirituality;
  • Language and Literature;
  • Art and Music;
  • Traditional Sports and Games;
  • Economics and Trade, the Silk Road Heritage, and Modern Problems.

Based on the results of selection rounds, 12 winners will be announced to receive a grant of $10,000. Scientists being younger than 35 at the time of submitting the application qualify to receive this grant.
