Accurate IT: Student Council of the SEECS Holds Event for IT Students

The Student Council of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science held a teambuilding event for IT students and gave them a chance to communicate with staff of leading IT companies in Chelyabinsk in an informal atmosphere.

Six student teams and representatives of NAPOLEON IT company competed in exciting contests and quests, shared their IT experience and knowledge, and competed in a tournament at a laser tag arena. The goal of the event was to help students rethink the programming industry and bring some variety to the student school days.

"This is the first time we've held this event and the goal was to improve the interaction between IT companies and students from relevant schools. We decided to try a totally new format and combined various networking exercises with a laser tag game," said event organizer Nikita Kalyazin.

Besides the wide variety of fun events, the students also had the unique opportunity to speak with representatives of NAPOLEON IT, which develops software and other IT products. The students learned about the subtleties of working as an IT specialist, developing software, and the skills needed to become a successful IT specialist. Students were also able to ask NAPOLEON IT staff any burning questions.

"I planned on coming here just to learn about IT companies and have fun, but on top of our chats with representatives from NAPOLEON IT, there were also many interesting games and contests. Of course, laser tag stuck out more than anything. I think that these events are needed to make sure that students are more active, so they don't sit idle, but rather go out into nature, play, meet new and interesting people. The event is helpful in supporting professional growth in the IT field," shared event participant Dmitriy Surinskiy.

The Accurate IT event was held as part of a PR campaign for the “Unlock” IT session at the Olimp student camp.
