Esports Instructors Training Programme Opens at SUSU

The SUSU Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service has created a cutting-edge programme on esports and welcomes everyone to study in the Instructor in Computer Sports (Esports) professional retraining programme.

In Russia, esports has been developing for a long time now, but today it is gradually coming out of the shadows, acquiring official status.

Like in any other sport, competitiveness is inevitable. However, in case of esports, you compete with yourself. In order to be included in the best teams, you will need to reach the top of the leaderboard.

The educational programme is aimed at the students’ gaining the competencies necessary for professional activity in the field of computer sports (esports team manager, computer sports coach, computer sports referee, etc.).

The workload of the program equals 504 hours. It is designed for students with secondary or higher education. Experience in professional activity is not obligatory.

Upon completing the programme, all graduates are awarded a state-recognised diploma of professional retraining, which is an important addition to any speciality, giving the right to work in the field of physical culture and sports, vocational education.

Students will have access to esports equipment and will be taught by qualified academic staff to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of esports. The process of training differs significantly from any other standard course since it is a 100% practical course. The program is supervised by the Director of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service Vadim Erlikh.

“In terms of esports everyone is equal now. There are no differences as related to body constitution, education, or religion. Competitiveness and accomplishments depend only on your qualifications, as well as experience and practice in games, and of course, knowledge and ability to manoeuvre the subtleties that we will teach you,” noted Vadim Erlikh
