SUSU Named Among the Top 50 Universities in Russia

South Ural State University earned the 42nd place among 358 Russian universities in the composite ratings of Interfax.

Interfax annually conducts the Interfax National University Ranking study. Its goals are to evaluate the performance of modern Russian universities, develop a channel of communication between Russia’s academic community and the public, and search for new methods and technologies to evaluate the performance of institutions in education, research and development, innovation and social development.

The composite rating is based on assessments of six high importance parameters: Education, Research, Social Environment, Cooperation, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and University Brand. The rankings are based on data from questionnaires submitted by 358 universities.

South Ural State University has ranked 86th in the Education indicator, 54th in Research, and 22nd in Brand and Cooperation.

The goal of the rating is to develop communications among university administrations and evaluate sources of information on university activities, education as a whole, research, and development. The agency identifies new approaches to determining the value of university brands. The rating takes into account connections the universities make with the markets of highly qualified and academic labour, individual evaluations of universities that provide students with additional opportunities to choose educational programs, partners for joint work, and places to apply their talent and personal development.
