SUSU Students Swapped Roles with the Teaching Staff

Students of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications congratulated the teaching staff members on Teachers’ Day in an unusual way. At the university's Sigma building an examination was held! Students acted as examiners, and the academic staff members pulled examination papers and, answering unexpected questions, demonstrated their attentiveness, love for the department, and professional skills.

“Teachers’ Day is one of the nicest, touching holidays. This is a holiday for everyone who appreciates and respects the work of an academic and mentor of the younger generation, and on this day we are eager to pay tribute to those academics who have put their soul in us,” says 3rd-year student Dinara Shadovletova. “We congratulated our wonderful academics. We prepared a surprise for them in honour of the holiday: organized an interesting game called “Examination”. Their answers at the exam were excellent. We organized such a contest to make them smile and feel happy, surprise them and cheer them up. Something we will remember together for many years to come.”

According to student Govkher Rozyeva, a holiday for the academic staff members is a gratitude for their support and help in studies:

“I also want to thank Irina Kislova, who gave us pieces of advice and helped us organise this holiday. And I want to say that the academics of our department are the best!”

All the academic staff members who passed the examination cheerfully were awarded a celebration cake. The students presented flowers and expressed their warm wishes to the academics, and did that in the correct Russian language, too!
