Students can get the opportunity of formal employment and earn money in summer, while having a good time studying at the university.
The Headquarters of Student Labour Unions of South Ural State University continues to recruit students in four areas: Pedagogy (Camp Counselling), Service, Construction, and Railroads Conducting. During summer, students can work in various jobs and receive fair wages.
Student pedagogical teams work in the camps of in Chelyabinsk Region and also interact with all-Russian and international camps: the Russian Children's Centre "Orlyonok" and the International Child Centre "Artek". Student construction teams work on projects of various levels, one of which is the "Peaceful Atom" All-Russian Student Construction Works. Student conductors teams work in five directions: Chelyabinsk − Adler, Chelyabinsk − Anapa, Chelyabinsk − Novorossiysk, Chelyabinsk − Moscow, and Chelyabinsk − St. Petersburg. Student service teams take part in two all-Russian labour projects in Crimea "Yalta" and "Mriya" as waiters, maids and gardeners, and provide quality rest for resort guests.
It is worth noting that throughout the academic year, students are trained in the chosen areas they are interested in, after which they pass exams and leave for the labour summer. In addition to virgin lands campaigns, student teams take part in creative concerts and various events.
