SUSU Took Part in Russian-British Online Forum on Academic Mobility

The International Research Collaboration Office of South Ural State University took part in the Russian-British online forum on academic mobility in 2021. The event was organized by the British Embassy Moscow and ITMO University.

ITMO University, MISIS National University of Science and Technology, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Yugra State University, University of Birmingham, University of Bradford, Lancaster University, and Coventry University were among the participants.

The participants of the forum shared their experience on the existing collaborations and case studies to promote academic mobility. They also discussed the way Covid-19 and Brexit affected academic mobility in Russia and the UK, and the new digital methods of cooperation and networking discovered during the pandemic.

In addition, foreign colleagues spoke about their plans and future trends in international educational and scientific cooperation within a new program called the Turing scheme, with which the British government promised to replace the European Erasmus student exchange program.

As they participate in further online-events, the SUSU International Office will continue to inform colleagues and students about the content of the new program and other news.
