SUSU Students Are Invited to Take Part in RUSAL Laboratory Projects Competition

Students of South Ural State University are invited to take part in the RUSAL Laboratory competition of research and project student works. The organizer of the competition is the RUSAL corporate centre.

The topic of the competition is “Green Technologies”, that is the innovative solutions and technologies aimed at big-scale modernization of the existing production assets, which help to reduce hazardous emissions into the atmosphere, save resources, and implement projects of closed water circulation systems and energy-efficient production.

Students of any mode of study (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Specialist degree students and postgraduates) under the age of 30 are invited to participate. Both individual and team projects (up to 5 people) are allowed, with the possibility of inviting a scientific supervisor of the project from among the academic and teaching staff.

It is possible to propose and implement projects aimed at developing the RUSAL company in the following fields:

- electrolysis production;

- foundry technologies and innovation alloys;

 - alumina production;

- carbon production and materials;

- innovation aluminium products.

Only one application is to be submitted for each category of the Competition.

Participants have the opportunity to get into the personnel reserve of the leaders of the RUSAL company; finalize the project with the experts of the competition within 2 months; win valuable prizes; and get project support, including its implementation in production.

Applications are to be submitted until January 18, 2021 on the website. Materials with the project information are to be submitted until January 25, 2021.

The filled out application and the presentation of the project are to be sent to the “University Boiling Point” Centre for Collective Work (e-mail: bunovaev[at]susu[dot]ru) to receive recommendations on the submitted project
