PREMIA-2020 Competition in Professional Excellence of PR Specialists Named After Olga Davidenko Announced in Chelyabinsk

From November 10, applications for participation in the PREMIA-2020 Competition in Professional Excellence of PR Specialists of the Chelyabinsk Region named after Olga Davidenko will be accepted. This year, a number of significant changes related to the increase in the number of award categories, the composition of the expert council and the procedure for submitting conference proceedings have been made in the competition project. For the first time in the history of the project, students from universities of the Chelyabinsk Region majoring in Advertising and Public Relations are also invited to participate in PREMIA-2020.

This competition, organized by the Press Service Club of the Chelyabinsk Region, is one of the projects aimed at preserving the memory of Olga Davidenko, who is not only a bright journalist, chairman of the Union of Journalists of the Chelyabinsk Region (2015-2018), but a successful PR specialist, who has led the Public Relations Department of the Federal Postal Service Office of the Chelyabinsk region for 10 years, and was the chairman of the Press Service Club of the region from 2009 to 2015. It was Olga who managed to unite the PR specialists of the South Ural region, raised both the prestige of this profession and the status of the union itself, and always supported the creative initiatives of her colleagues.

This year, for the first time ever, the co-organizer of the competition is the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities of South Ural State University. The main goal of such a collaboration is to improve the exchange of experience between PR-specialists of the region and students from universities of the Chelyabinsk Region majoring in Advertising and Public Relations.

This year, PREMIA-2020 named after Olga Davidenko will be awarded in four categories:

1 - "Best PR Project of the Year"

2 - "Best Internal Corporate Project of the Year"

3 - "Best Corporate Media of the Year"

4 - "Best Student PR Project of the Year".

Projects implemented in 2020 are accepted for participation in the competition. The creative works will be assessed by a professional jury, which includes PR experts from the Moscow, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions: Tatyana Iakovleva, founder of the Moscow PR School, lecturer at the Skolkovo Startup Academy, Moscow; Timur Aslanov, editor-in-chief of the Image-Media Publishing House, member of Russian Association of Public Relations (RAPR), member of the Guild of Marketers, Moscow; Aleksandra Fedorenko, Director of Reputation Management Company, member of RAPR, Yekaterinburg; Olga Kostareva, program director of the Zhara PR Conference, Yekaterinburg; Maria Nevolina, chairman of the Press Service Club of the Chelyabinsk region, executive director of the Association of Small Generators, Chelyabinsk; Evelina Grigoreva, specialist in PR, GR, political consulting, and social marketing, Chelyabinsk; Evgenii Maklakov, specialist in PR, GR, political consulting, and social marketing, Chelyabinsk. This year, the jury also includes the Director of the SUSU Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities, Professor of the Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Doctor of Sciences (Philology) Lidiia Lobodenko.

Applications will be accepted until January 20, 2021. One of the innovations of this year's competition will be the improvement of the application collection system. For the convenience of the contestants, all conference proceedings will be accepted through the electronic system.

Winners in four categories will be determined according to the results of voting by members of the PREMIA-2020 expert council. The Competition Regulations provide for public protection of projects (based on the epidemiological situation in the region).

The solemn awarding ceremony will be held on February 26-28, 2021 as part of the Interregional Nordic Combined Media Cup named after Olga Davidenko. By the results of voting by the expert council, the winners in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd categories will receive an honorary certificate and a cash prize of 20 thousand roubles each. The winner in the 4th category and the winners of the audience choice will receive an honorary certificate and souvenirs from the competition partners as part of the public defence of projects.
