Vyachelsav Avdin, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of South Ural State University, gave an interview in a Personal Opinion show on Channel 31.
The rivers in the South Ural region have been listed among the most polluted ones in our country. The condition of the waterways has been assessed by the Russian Meteorological Service (RosHydroMet). What can one find in the water of a river running through the centre of a big industrial city? What is happening to the Miass River, and can we make it as strong and clean as it once was? And, is it true that there already exist nanotechnology-based efficient methods of water treatment and that these have been developed not by “British scientists” but by chemists from SUSU? His Personal Opinion about all these issues was given by Vyachelsav Avdin, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
