Foreign applicants who would like to enter South Ural State University are welcome to apply now. Applications are being accepted in an organised manner, and the International Office provides support for applicants from the moment of submitting all documents to the enrolment to the university.
“The active internationalization of all spheres of activities at the university leads to an increase in the number of foreign students at SUSU from countries of both near and far abroad. The International Office not only helps everyone who wishes to submit all the documents necessary for training correctly (for some countries this process can take several months, given the legalization and translation of documents; the Degree Recognition Centre provides the support in this process), and apply for admission, but also accompanies foreign students throughout their stay at the university,” said Liudmila Lapina, Head of the International Student Support of the SUSU International Office.
Foreign applicants can apply for state-financed and contractual places. Documents for the state-financed places are accepted through the portal for applicants: abit.susu.ru. The instructions describe how to register on the portal and list the documents necessary for application.
Foreign applicants applying for a contractual basis can submit documents by e-mail at applicant[at]susu[dot]ru and receive the instructions on further actions. Those who are in Chelyabinsk are advised to apply to a single window of submitting documents for foreign citizens (Room 028, Main University Building, entrance directly from the street). Opening hours are from 13:00 to 15:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You need to be wearing a medical mask to visit the university.
Required documents:
- Passport and its translation;
- Document on previous education (a certificate, a diploma) and it translation (remains at the university);
- Certificate of Pre-university Training Department;

Such fields of study as “Management”, “Metallurgy”, “Construction Engineering”, “Economics”, “Power Industry and Electrical Engineering”, “Jurisprudence” are in demand among foreign applicants.
The Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes taught in English have become more popular recently. A new Bachelor’s programme in IT has opened this year.
