On the occasion of the birthday of Alexander Pushkin, SUSU presented a video quiz, in which international students answered questions about the life and work of the poet. The poet’s birthday is celebrated on June 6, as is the Day of the Russian Language. Therefore, the video prepared by international students became a congratulation on the international holiday.
A creative congratulation on the International Day of the Russian Language was prepared by the international students of South Ural State University. The holiday is celebrated on June 6, on the birthday of Alexander Pushkin, and therefore students decided to test the knowledge of their friends about the work of the famous poet and prose writer. An unusual quiz was filmed on video.
The idea of video greetings belongs to the students from Sri Lanka Uvindu Wijeweera and Sanjana Prabod. They could not miss the opportunity to once again remind everyone about the importance of learning the Russian language.
"The first thing we get to know in Russia is the Russian language. Its modern version was created by Alexander Pushkin. Therefore, June 6 is a very important day for foreigners. We decided to ask students what they knew about the holiday and about the poet. They were asked questions by Pushkin himself, played by the representative of the African countries Abu, and by the wife of the poet Tatiana Goncharova, played by the representative of Turkmenistan Gulnara," said an activist of the SUSU Association of International Students Sanjana Prabod.
An active participation of international students was commended in the International Office of the university.
"SUSU can be proud of its international students. They always know how to celebrate different events and holidays, including those related to other cultures. The Association of International Students with the support of the university regularly holds Days of National Cultures: Chinese, Arab, African and those of East Asian countries. And the video prepared for the birthday of Alexander Pushkin once again emphasizes the love of international students to the Russian language and Russian traditions," said specialist of the International Student Support Valeria Chachina.
The video prepared for the International Day of Russian Language and for the birthday of Alexander Pushkin was uploaded in the official channel of the SUSU Association of International Students on YouTube.
