On November 27th and 28th, an All-Russian Science-to-Practice Conference on the Russian Federation Developments in Priority Fields of Science, Technology, and Engineering will be held at South Ural State University.
The UMNIK Program aims to support commercially-oriented research and methodological projects by young researchers. Individuals who are 18 to 30 years old (inclusively), are citizens of the Russian Federation, and have not previously become winners in this program are eligible to participate in the contest of this program.
Topics of the applications in this program span the following fields:
Н1. Digital Technologies;
Н2. Medicine and Technologies for Health Preservation;
Н3. New Materials and Chemical Technologies;
Н4. New Instruments and Smart Industrial Technologies;
Н5. Biotechnology;
Н6. Resource-saving Power Engineering.
The winners of this program will be awarded a grant of 500,000 roubles for 2 years to complete their R&D. At the end of the previous contest, 22 individuals from the Chelyabinsk Region were awarded this grant.
In this season, the contest will be closed November 27th-28th. On November 27th, the event will be opened by the Vice-Rector for Research Aleksandr Diakonov, representative of the regional branch of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises Vsevolod Skremeta, and Head of the Research and Innovation Services Anton Nurkenov.
