International KVN Humour Show Day: SUSU Teams to Perform in Open Training League Finals

The celebration of the International KVN Humour Show Day, as well as the KVN Open Training League Finals, in which SUSU teams will participate, are to be held today.

The six KVN teams of South Ural State University differ in style of humour, presentation of material, and amount of experience. The most important thing is that all students are friendly and help each other to prepare for the games. Currently, the School of Humour “Liga Otkrityi” (League of Discoveries) is being held at SUSU within the frameworks of Rosmolodezh grant project.

“KVN Humour Show gives many opportunities in terms of development and formation of a person’s identity. In order to write funny stuff, you need to be in a constant process of self-development, read a lot, know what is happening in the world right now. KVN Humour Show is hard work, from writing the material, staging it and creating props, to the performance itself. You need to be stress-resistant, because sometimes your team has to write new material literally overnight,” notes Alina Kutdusova, Director of SUSU KVN League.

This season, 2 SUSU teams took part in the Ural League: the finalists “Dikkens, naprimer” (“Dickens, for Example”) and “Gorod N” (“N city”). Everyone interested is welcome to cheer for the students on November 30th.

This season, SUSU presented three teams in the Open Training League. “ChUI, my doma” (“ChUI, we're home”) became the quarterfinalists. “Gulyaem, otdykhaem” (“Hanging out and Chilling”) and “Cherchez la femme” are to compete in the KVN Open Training League today.

“Surely, the finals are the most anticipated game for all teams. All participants want to be in the finals and to battle for gold medals. This is the outcome of the season that determines everything. The finals are always very exciting, because little time remains for the championship. The students need to be prepared as thoroughly as possible,” notes Alina Kutdusova.

We invite you to participate and support your favourite teams of South Ural State University!

The finals of the KVN Open Training League are to be held in Zheleznodorozhnikov Palace of Culture, 54 Tsvillinga Str., on November 8th at 19:00. Contact Artem Puntusov, the organizer of the event, to purchase tickets.
