Mediators to Be Trained How to Negotiate Disputes

In October of 2019, Pokrov Mediation Centre, jointly with South Ural State University (National Research University), will hold a scheduled basic course on the Basics of Dispute Mediation.

?The training program includes three modules:

  • efficient communication
  • negotiation
  • mediation

The classes will be held by Tatiana Eremeeva, General Director of Pokrov Mediation Centre, Chairperson of the Presidium of the Unified Business Council for Mediation and mediation coach; Natalya Mikhailova, efficient communication specialist and psychologist; Anna Nikitina, mediation coach; Anna Filippova, mediator and Program Director of the 5th International Business Conference on Negotiations & Mediation 2019.

The course aims at advanced training of specialists, who acting as mediators, could amicably settle disputes with consideration to the interests of all parties. In the course of training, the participants learn how to properly and actively listen to the opponent, gain the skills of controlling their own behaviour in a dispute. They are also taught how to neutrally settle the disputes arising with the third parties.

Within the frameworks of the course on the Basics of Dispute Mediation, a special three-day training on interactive negotiations will be organized. According to Tatiana Eremeeva, the mediation coach under Negotiation module within the basic mediation course, the technology of holding negotiations based on cooperation helps solve legal issues within a family, business and social medium, quickly and in a civilized way.

Every year the courses are being attended by lawyers, attorneys, psychologists, HR specialists, medical workers, and public figures.

After completing their training under this programme, specialists obtain the following skills:

  • Ability to take into account your own interests and the interests of the negotiating partners in a clam and positive way;
  • Efficiently convey and receive information;
  • Working with resistance, aggression, hidden motivation;
  • Control manipulations;
  • Hold negotiations based on taking into consideration the interests of the parties.??????

Upon the results of training under the course on the Basics of Dispute Mediation, all the participants are awarded an advanced training certificate of South Ural State University (NRU). This document gives specialists the right to act as professional independent mediators in state authorities (including courts). This programme opens a path to a new profession.

The participants can improve their professional competences at the monthly meetings at the Mediators Club at Pokrov Mediation Centre in Chelyabinsk.
