Student Spring Festival–2018 Starts in Chelyabinsk

On April 2, the opening of the most massive youth festival called Student Spring Festival-2018, in which South Ural State University’s students who won the Spring at SUSU contest are to take part, is to be held. This is a unique project participated by several thousands of aspiring singers, dancers, actors and other performers from universities from all over Russia.

The Festival is a part of the Russian Student Spring program for support and development of Russian studentship’s creativity, founded by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and by the Russian Union of Youth All-Russian public organization.

Within two weeks, performance groups of Chelyabinsk’s universities, including South Ural State University, will compete against each other. Among them, competent jury will choose the winners who will represent the region at the All-Russian festival stage in Stavropol in May.

This year, contests of the Student Spring Festival will be held on the following city venues: Concert Hall named after S.S. Prokofiev, Maneken (Mannequin) Theatre and Movie Studio Complex, Railroad Workers Culture Palace and others.

Students will demonstrate their talents in the following areas: music, dancing, theatre, original genre and literature genre.

Entrance for the spectators of genre-specific contests is free of charge; entrance to the opening ceremony and gala concert is by invitation tickets which can be collected at SUSU’s Art Center (Main building, room 339 G, D).
