The deputy governor of the Chelyabinsk region, Vadim Evdokimov, presented awards to honored workers of physical culture and sport in the region at a ceremony in honor of the Russian Athlete Day which is celebrated on the second Saturday of August in Russia. This year it was August 12th.
“Today, physical culture and sport have an important place in the state policy of the Russian Federation. Your great credit is in the fact that you form harmonious, whole, and healthy people – this is the state policy about which the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and the government of the Chelyabinsk region speaks,” noted the deputy governor of the Chelyabinsk region, Vadim Evdokimov.
Representatives of SUSU’s ISTS were awarded for their exceptional achievements and contributions to the development of this profession for 2016 and 2017. Anna Nenasheva, doctor of biology, professor, head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture and Sports was presented an award from the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation – the badge High Achiever in Physical Culture and Sport of the Russian Federation. Albert Aminov, doctor of biology, head of the department of Sports Perfection and Ramilya Fayzrakhmanova, professor in the Department of Physical Education and Health were awarded certificates of gratitude from the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation.
“On this holiday I offer my sincere thanks to everyone for whom physical culture and sport became their profession. Thanks to your dedication, patience, responsibility, and talent, our athletes represent the Chelyabinsk Region well at competitions of various levels, achieve high results, and bring glory to the region and all of Russia with their achievements,” said the minister of physical culture and sport of the Chelyabinsk region, Leonid Oder.
