On May 24, the opening of the exhibition of art works of the School of Architectural and Artistic  Endeavor took place in the SUSU Hall of Arts. The school was founded in 2010 by the Department of Design and Arts. The Head of the Department is Associate Professor, a member of the Union of Russian Artists Larisa Surina.

Pupils of different age study at school: from the second to eleventh form. The lessons are aimed at studying the basics of drawing and composition for those who do not have basic education in arts and would like to receive it.

"One of the goals of our school is to train the children who made a decision to enter the Faculty of Architecture, where knowledge of creative disciplines is required. We equip them with knowledge of drawing, painting and composition," said Tatiana Vargot, teacher at the School of Architectural and Artistic Endeavor, Associate Professor of the Department of Design and Arts of SUSU.

The staff of the Department of Art History, pupils of the school, students and many others visited the opening.

"The pieces of art are very picturesque and technicolor. The children have an inborn feeling which they have developed throughout the course," said Galina Trifonova, Director of the Art Museum of SUSU.

Portraits, landscape paintings and still-life paintings were presented at the exhibition by pupils of the school. After graduation from the school many of them have decided to enter the Faculty of Architecture of SUSU.
