In Memory of Heroes: the Immortal Regiment Will Begin its March from SUSU

The Immortal Regiment movement, unprecedented in its size, will be held on the 72nd anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. It has become a popular pat of the Victory Parade and has brought together more than 12 million people in its ranks. In Chelyabinsk, the march begins May 9th near the SUSU main building at 15:00.

The Immortal Regiment stirred up a wave of memories about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War: veterans of the army and navy, home front workers and partisans, prisoners of fascist camps, survivors of blockades, and resistance fighters – all who contributed to the victory over the fascists.

The Immortal Regiment of Russia marches towards the future, guided by the great past. Its goal is to immortalize the heroic deeds of the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, preserve the memories of the peoples’ heroism and valor, comprehend the experiences of our heroic predecessors, and restore the legacy of those generations. The most important thing is to return the feeling of man and his family’s belonging to the history of his motherland.

We must remember: a new war begins when a generation grows, forgetting the war of the previous generation. Our duty is to preserve and defend the memory of our heroes!

Participant registration will be open until May 2nd in the VKontakte group “Volunteers for Victory”: https://vk.com/vsezapobedu.
