In the Trend of the Country’s Industrial Development: SUSU in the INNOPROM Exhibition of Innovative Technologies

A delegation from South Ural State University will participate in Russia’s main industrial exhibition, INNOPROM-2016. The seventh exhibition of modern innovative technologies will be held from July 11th to July 14th at Yekaterinburg-EXPO.

At the exhibition, SUSU will demonstrate the best developments among potential business partners and will establish promising contacts in science and manufacturing. In part, within this event the university plans to conclude agreements with the company Siemens PLM Software, leading supplier of software and software services for managing product life cycles. Both parties aim to join forces in engineering education and engineering to realize a joint project.

The most modern technologies in production, electronics, machine building, and different high-tech industries are demonstrated at INNOPROM-2016. The main theme of the exhibition is industrial networks. At Yekaterinburg-EXPO pavilions, SUSU’s showpieces will be presented alongside the best technological achievements of more than 600 companies from around the world. SUSU will be participating within a general booth for the Chelyabinsk region as the region’s largest university. Representatives of the newest scientific developments of our university in robotic engineering and military technology will be there.

Among SUSU’s showpieces is a remote-controlled mobile four-track tank platform with a robotic arm, Robot-Sapper BOGOMOL. The robotic system Bogomol-3m is intended for work where humans cannot be present. It serves for entry into hard-to-reach zones, neutralization of explosive devices, and so on.

Miniatures of localizer and glide-path transmitters and a trainer for the light aircraft, Tecman P2002 Sierra, will be presented. A localizer beacon is used to set the vertical plane of the course, which, together with the glide-path transmitter, forms the planned path for the plane and provides information for landing and take-off of aircraft equipped with onboard receivers working by the ILS principle in the automatic, semiautomatic, and manual piloting modes in weather minima. The glide-path translator is used to set the incline plane for the glide path in the same conditions as above.
