The final stage of the Governor’s Cup in Project Management is being held at SUSU

On April 15th and 22nd, the third and final stage of the open championship in project management in the Chelyabinsk Governor’s Cup (PMCup), is being held.

More than 50 projects were sent in for participation in the championship in January 2016. From these, a jury chose 18 school team projects. Also, for the first time in the event’s history, 10 concepts were chosen from professional educational organizations from Asha, Zlatoust, Kopeysk, Magnitogorsk, Miass, Snezhinsk, Chelyabinsk, and Yuzhnouralsk. These companies took part in the offsite, educational portion of the contest. Participants presented various projects from the creation of a series of internet resources for preparing school children for different levels of Olympiads, to the production of nanopolymer pipes. Social, commercial, and innovative projects are all of interest to modern youth.

Over the course of two weeks after the competition’s heats, the teams finalized their concepts using their new knowledge. Now, the works must be presented to the jury. The last stage is left – in-person defense of the project, which plays the most significant part in determination of the winner.

The third, in-person stage of the competition will be held April 15th and 22nd from 9:00am to 3:00pm in the Sigma conference hall. Competition finalists will be participating in front of a jury which includes leading professors of the faculty of “Economics and Project Management” , as well as representatives of partners and sponsors of the event – Sberbank, VTB24 bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and “Innovative Business Incubator” for the Chelyabinsk region.

All who wish to attend are encouraged to.
