Expert in green building from the USA is holding an online teleconference with SUSU students and professors

 

An online teleconference will be held on April 13th as part of the 2016 EXPO-Build Russia conference at South Ural State University. The invited speaker is a specialist in green building from Kentucky (USA).

Stephen Roosa is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of sustainable urban development and energy management with more than 25 years of experience. He is a company general director and also a Certified Energy Monitoring and Control System Designer (C.S.D.P., C.E.M., C.I.A.Q.P., C.M.V.P., B.E.P., C.D.S.M.) and an accredited expert in the LEED standard. He holds a Ph. D. In Planning and Urban Development and has vast experience of work with governmental and nongovernmental institutions and commercial organizations in benchmarking requirements and AEE certification programs. Stephen has been to 80 countries and all states of the USA, and headed Trade Mission USA in Brazil, Chili, Argentina, and Peru in 2004.

As a Bachelor of architecture, master of business and doctor of philosophy in urban planning, Roosa developed and published the first system for classifying sustainable urban development using statistically significant variables. His career history includes Energy System Group, LG&E Energy, OMNI Architects and other companies.

The event is of interest most to students and professors of the faculties of Architecture, Architecture and Construction, and Power Engineering.
