On February 16-20 SUSU delegation which included Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction Dmitry Ulrikh and the head of the International Programs and Funds Department Yulia Balakina visited the University of Genoa (Italy). The three-day meeting was focused on implementation of a joint project designed to development of competence in the sphere of higher education “Erasmus+ MARUEEB Project “Master Degree in Innovative Technologies in Energy Efficient Buildings for Russian & Armenian Universities and Stakeholders”

The Consortium was comprised of the University of Genoa (Project coordinator), the Ural Federal University (Project coordinator on the part of Russia), the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, universities of Russia, Armenia, Rumania, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Italy, as well as company representatives.
Erasmus+ is a new program of the European Union aimed at cooperation in the field of education, professional training, youth and sports for the period from 2014 to 2020. One of the program objectives is to create a new quality of collaboration.
The joint project for Russian and Armenian universities and companies will facilitate modernization, availability and internationalization of higher education, its correspondence to demands of the contemporary labour market and the society due to development and realization of new innovation programs.
The project plan deals with development of a master’s degree program in the sphere of energy efficient buildings. The main focus is on energy saving and the environment protection.
