The research activity of the Department of the Russian Language and Literature of the Faculty of Journalism was crowned with the important international victory on the New Year ’s Eve.

The multi-author monograph is the winner in the competition for the best scientific and publishing project “Scientific Book” according to the Book Publishing Board of the International Association of Academies of Sciences of CIS. This book is a joint project of two Ural Scientific Schools of Philology: Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin and South Ural State University, which are both included in the Project 5-100. The leading experts in literature of the Department of the Russian Language and Literature Elena Vladimirovna Ponomareva (Dr.Sc. in Philology) and Tatiana Fedorovna Semian (Dr.Sc. in Philology) were invited to take part in this competition on behalf of SUSU.

According to the professors E.V. Ponomareva and T.F. Semian the Laureate diploma signed by the academician B.E. Paton is a great honor for any scholar and it’s a fact of professional acknowledgment. Such awards serve as an incentive to further scientific achievements, as an example which scholars-supervisors give graduate and undergraduate students. This victory is a good present for SUSU staff, a well-deserved contribution of humanists to activities of the University, which holds high positions in national and international scientific ratings.
