Professor of SUSU Participated in the Work of ASEAN Authoritative Scientific Symposium

On 18-20th of November 2015 Scientific Symposium of scientists and experts of Russia and ASEAN was held in Naypyidaw, the capital of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is political, economic and cultural regional intergovernmental organization of countries which are located in Southeastern Asia. One of the main aims of the organization is acceleration of economic, social and cultural development of its state-members on the basis of cooperation and mutual help.

The topic of the Symposium is “Energetic dialog between Russia and ASEAN in the field of technologies of renewable and clean energetics: The perspectives of creation of expert analytical and consulting net in the field of Russia-ASEAN renewable energetics”.

 The Professor of Power Engineering Faculty of SUSU Evgenii Solomin has taken an active part in the work of Symposium.  He has been being the only member of the European Commission expert group in Russian since 2013, and takes part in annual meetings in Brussels on distribution of state financing of European Union among engineering groups in the field of energetics.

On the basis of proposals of Professor Solomin in the decision of Symposium with the purpose of further promotion on the level of ASEAN’s administration following topics were included:

  • Initiative research projects between the universities of ASEAN and Russian Federation in the field of wind-, sun-, and hybrid-powered electrical generation, including student innovative projects, start-ups and commercialization.
  • Promotion of electrification of countryside regions of ASEAN countries with the help of installations on the basis of renewable energy sources.
  • Promotion of academic exchange programs between the universities of ASEAN and Russia in a part to academic and PhD’s programs in the field of renewable energetics.
  • Promotion of information exchange between ASEAN and Russia about financially beneficial projects in the field of renewable energy sources.
