Lawyer's Day in English

 
On Lawyer’s Day the professors of Foreign Languages Department (Makurina I. Y., Shrayber E.G., Associate Professors and Bundina K.V., Senior Professor) held the annual conference in English among students of Faculty of Law. This year the theme of the Conference was: "Contemporary Lawyer: Young Generation's View".
14 second-year students took part in the Conference: Vita Mikaeva, Albert Khamzin, Anastasiya Gracheva, Kristina Nikonova, Ilya Krylov, Liana Gaynullina, Natalya Berestyuk, Irina Antonova, Alina Gerak, Olga Tkachenko and Evgeny Deryabin. They discussed the following issues: “Is it easy to be a lawyer in present-day Russia and abroad?” and “What traits of character a present-day lawyer should possess?”. The students shared their opinion concerning the peculiarities of legal expert profession, told about interesting facts of life and professional activity of famous Russian and foreign lawyers.
 

According to the professors of Foreign Languages Department the best report belonged to Olga Zinchenko (L-262) on “The Status of a Lawyer in Great Britain”. In that report Olga presented little-known facts of barrister profession.

At the Conference the students took an active part in the discussions as those issues directly concerned their interests – the interests of future lawyers. The participants and Vladimir Zagvozdin and Daniil Sukhov, anchors of the Conference and third-year students of Faculty of Law, as well were awarded with the certificates. Next year within the traditional conference the professors of Foreign Languages Department plan to hold an event of another format. Follow the news to know the details!
