A meeting between Sociology and Political Science students and Roman Vollert, Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, has been held at South Ural State University. The event was held in the format of an open dialogue, where the future specialists were able to directly ask questions to the regional government official and discuss current issues and trends in their professional field.
At the start of the open dialogue, Deputy Governor Roman Vollert talked about the key stages of his professional development, sharing his personal and career experiences.
One of the central topics of the dialogue was the integration of modern digital tools, including artificial intelligence, into sociological and political science research.
A separate set of questions was devoted to practical case studies of the work of specialist. Students were interested in how information policy is developed in crisis situations and what methods are most effective for dialogue with the public during such periods.
"We discussed with the students not only the internship opportunities but also the challenges our country faces today. We talked about the students' professional future, the demand for political scientists and sociologists—the things that, in my opinion, should be on the mind of the third- and fourth-year students. I think we managed to strike the right tone and build a trusting relationship. I am grateful to the students for an open, honest dialogue," noted Roman Vollert.
The topic of professional advancement sparked considerable interest among the audience. Many questions focused on the possibility of internships or practical training with the regional government, as well as future employment prospects.
Such open dialogues are held regularly at our university. SUSU students traditionally meet with representatives of government, culture, education, and other fields. This is becoming an important element in educating the younger generation and training highly qualified personnel for our country.
