Autumn Cycle of Training Courses on Entrepreneurship Competences Began at SUSU

On October 15th, “Startup Guide: Bascis of Technological Entrepreneurship” training course on entrepreneurship competences was held at South Ural State University as part of the “Technologies” federal project and with the support from the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform.

An entire ecosystem aimed at developing students’ entrepreneurial skills has been created at SUSU. The university provides each student with an opportunity to try on the role of an entrepreneur: from generating an idea and developing their own project to making their first sales, creating a company, and attracting investment. Entrepreneurship competences training courses are one of the aspects of developing business skills among SUSU students.

“Entrepreneurship is a skill, and our university gives every student an opportunity to try themselves in this role. The SUSU ecosystem allows students to cover the entire path: from coming up with first ideas to creating their own projects. Today, you are standing at the first stage: attending trainings on developing entrepreneurial competencies. Many of those who have completed this path are already successfully implementing their startups. Our university has created all the necessary infrastructure for development: trainings, accelerator, minors, and the Startup as a Diploma program. SUSU is among the top ten universities in Russia for developing student entrepreneurship. Allow yourself to see the diversity of opportunities this path opens for you,” noted the coach and Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Economics and Project Management of the SUSU School of Economics and Management Marina Litke.

“Startup Guide: Basics of Technological Entrepreneurship” training course provides young leaders with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves into the world of tech business. The participants master all stages of startup creation while working in a team of like-minded people. As part of the program, they participated in a variety of effective entrepreneurial skill development formats: from business simulations and generation sessions to workshops based on the discussion of theoretical approaches to startup development.

“Today, the students tried their hand at entrepreneurship: they developed startups, created teams, and went from idea to pitching to investors. Every student of a Russian university interested in entrepreneurship can take the first steps toward earning their first million. Our goal today is to engage, excite, and demonstrate how entrepreneurial projects are managed at the university,” said the coach and Director of Chelyabinsk campus of School 21 Dmitriy Kozlenkov.
